The jumpsuit 'jumper' is going to be one of those tricky trends to get right. We’ve seen a high street retailer – name withheld – recently display a full trouser length jumpsuit with an elastic waist. Oh dear, if you want to look like a total victim, go ahead. This is an example of the fast fashion that’s clogging Western society landfill and keeping overseas workers very busy. (guess the last part’s a bonus).Whilst browsing the glorious site http://www.madisonlosangeles.com/ , we came across a stylish silk jumpsuit by Vanessa Bruno. Tailored from 100% silk, the silhouette is flattering and the mid thigh pant could almost pass for a skirt. The ruffled neckline and décolletage is fabulously feminine, and the cinched belt really makes the suit look like a dress.
Our prediction is that jumpsuits will still be around next year. However, if you want to remain stylish and transcend try hard Gen Y pop fashion, slide in to silk, and make it short leg.
